Alexandre Pi, Chief Executive Officer
He has worked as entrepreneur in the area of information technology since 1984. He has vast technical and market experience in the areas of electronic transactions, data communication, computer network and operational systems. He successfully prospected investments from 3 different institutional partners, either financial or strategic. He founded APPI in 1993, which not only is the leader in the area of computer network and internet in Brazil, but also introduced several innovations, at world class level, in the TEF (Electronic Transfer of Funds) industry. He was one of the co-founders of Modulo Security, leading Brazilian company in the area of safety in information systems. He is a senior developer of software with vast experience in C, C++ and communication protocols, and was also the co-author of the first book published in Brazil about programming in C language.
Also a member of IBGC (Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance), before starting his career as entrepreneur he took a few years of Engineering (UERJ) and Computers (UFRJ). He is currently finishing his Executive MBA in the Instituto COPPEAD (UFRJ).
Luis Filipe Cavalcanti,Chief Operating Officer
He occupies the position of Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of APPI. He holds the degrees of Master of Science in Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Sloan / MIT), Master of Science in System Engineering and Computer Science from COPPE / UFRJ and an Executive MBA from COPPEAD / UFRJ. He took his undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from UFRJ, Luis Filipe has published and presented more than 10 articles about project management and software quality process in events in Brazil and abroad. He has been a Professor of Project Management at PUC-Rio. Luis occupies executive leadership positions at APPI since 2004, having going through the positions of Director of IT Projects and Services (until 2008) and Chief Financial Officer (until 2010).
Alberto Techera, Health Business Unit Officer
He has 18 years of experience in IT. He is with APPI since Nov/2004. He was the IT Superintendent of Unimed Rio, group for which he worked over 10 years, after previous run through Infraero. He has education on System Analysis and Electrical Engineering.
Ravin Mehta, Payment Means Business Unit Officer
He is in the company since Jan/08. He has over 13 years of experience in the industry of Payment Cards, with extensive relationship with executives of the segment in Brazil, United States and Europe. Led Intellect in Latin America for 4 years and was responsible for the development and implementation of the distribution network in several countries. He was responsible for the development of VeriFone's operations in Brazil during its first 7 years, working as General Manager in the last 4 years. He contributed for companies such as Gemini Consulting, being the consultant in the business management area. Graduate Degree in Computing Science by University of London and postgraduate by USP (Executive MBA).
Robson Liberato, Financial Officer
Robson Liberato has a Finance MBA by IBMEC and degree in Business Administration. He worked for five years at Cromos Tintas Gráficas, a chemical industry and for ten years at Sendas Group, one of the biggest retailers in Brazil. There, Robson started as a Financial Analyst and later on assumed as a Financial Manager Operations of the group.Robson joined the APPI team in August 2000, first as Finance Manager and then as CFO, a position given to the board by investor partner, where he remained until July 2007. After almost three years out, during which he worked as Head Controller of a brazilian subsidiary of North American Production Company Hungry Man, one of Top 10 in the world, and as well as Independent Financial Adviser, Robson returned to APPI in May 2010 to reassume as CFO of the company.
